We support start-ups, SMEs and multinationals in creating commercially and socially viable business models and activities that include the people in the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) as consumers, producers and entrepreneurs.
BoP Innovation Center is an independent foundation and was founded by a consortium of partners, to create a one-stop shop for businesses, investors and advisors with a clear interest in inclusive business. Our performance is monitored and controlled by the Supervisory Board.
We started in in 2010 with two employees and a strong vision. Currently, the organization employs 29 people all over the world. Although our headquarters is in the Netherlands, we are proud to have people on the ground where it matters most: Ghana, Benin, Kenya, Ethiopia and Bangladesh.
