PRACTICE : How do I create square images for uploading into InnovatorCommunity.com ?

Images which you upload to InnovatorCommunity.com are preferribly "Square".  

This makes the rendering in the thumbnails better and also makes the sharing of your InnovatorCommunity post to social media easier and better.

In many photo editing programs you can adapt the 'canvas' size to a square (e.g. witdth = 400 pixels, height = 400 pixels).  e.g. by adding white bands on two of the sides.

Make sure to adapt the 'canvas' size and not the 'image' size, since adapting the image size might scale or distort the image by changing the aspect ratio.

If you don't have a photo editing program, go to www.getpaint.net and download and install the free Windows application "paint.net"

In paint.net you will find the "canvas size" item in the "image" menu.
