The Paca-Est Incubator is a support structure for innovative business start-ups. The Business incubator offers innovative entrepreneurs tailored support over a period of 6 to 24 months, along with training and expertise, office space. In certain cases, refundable advances may also be allocated. It mainly provides support and assistance for projects derived from or associated with French government research programmes. The business incubator is supported by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education, the PACA Regional council, the departmental councils of Alpes Maritimes and Var, the metropolis of Nice-Côte d'Azur, the urban community of Toulon-Provence-Méditerranée, and the Greater urban area communities of Sophia Antipolis and Pays de Grasse, as well as the Town Council of Cannes. Its goal is to develop high added value sectors of the local economy and as such, takes no share in the capital of the future company.
